Kanye West seriously ticked off Lily Allen (and half of the rest of the Twittersphere) today after clicking “Publish” on a Tweet which claimed that an abortion can cost up to $100,000 and that many women deliberately relegate themselves to nine months of swollen ankles and Pickles & Ice Cream just to extort money from men.
Here’s the remark that got everyone riled up: “An abortion can cost a ballin’ n–ga up to 50gs maybe a 100. Gold diggin’ b–ches be getting pregnant on purpose. #STRAPUP my n–gas!”
He followed up with the Tweet: “It ain’t happen to me but I know people.”
Lily — who has suffered two miscarriages, the most recent last year — spoke for many outraged Tweeters when she responded: “Never has a tweet put me in such a bad mood. This is wrong on so many levels.”
We’re still waiting to hear a response from Kanye.
