Charlie Sheen Turns Craziness into a Cash Cow


There may well be a method to Charlie Sheen's madness, because is cashing in on his craziness with lucrative promotional and merchandizing tie-ups.

The troubled star has just launched a new website – www.charliesheen.com – that is currently just a front for promoting his commercial tie-up with Live Nation.

Charlie just posted a link to the site on Twitter, as a #Fastball packaged in warlock mumbo-jumo.

"#fastball; the global inferno that is me, is now as molten and focused as my afterburners. www.charliesheen.com ybw c Retweet!"

Shortly afterward, he added:

"#fastball; After years of being at the mercy of a decaying troll, charliesheen.com is finally in the hands of its Warlock owner! Go Now! c"

The website homepage, currently the only page on the site, has a video message from Charlie beseeching visitors to buy tickets for his Live Nation tour.

The tour titled - My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not an Option – has dates booked in Detroit and Chicago. Tickets, priced at $35, go on sale on Saturday.

Sheen's website also has a prominent link to an online store on Livenation.com that is currently selling T-shirts with his recently coined slogans emblazoned on them.

Sheen referred to his deal with Live Nation in a new interview with Australian radio network Nova.

Besides the tour, the deal includes "all this intellectual property - blood, winning, Adonis DNA, all that stuff," he said.

Sheen told Nova that T-shirts and mugs will also be available soon.

He also claimed to have been tweeting endorsements. For example, he was paid a six figure amount for his endorsement of Internships.com.

As to his #Winning catchphrase, Sheen explained

"Admit it folks, the whole winning thing, you just feel better when you say it. It's true, and you have to kind of smile when you say it."
