Prince William, on a tour of cyclone affected areas of Australia, promised to return to the country within weeks with fiancée Kate Middleton, possibly for their honeymoon.
According to the Daily Telegraph, while speaking to well-wishers in Cairns in Far North Queensland, a popular tourist destination, the Prince said he would like to return to city to scuba dive on the Great Barrier Reef.
"I love scuba diving, I have always wanted to dive the barrier reef," he told an immigrant from Winchester who settled in the city ten years ago.
"It's much nicer down here, the weather at home is dreadful.
"I will have to come back, maybe we'll have a honeymoon in Cairns?" William added drawing cheers from the crowd.
The Prince also invited the well-wishers to his wedding on April 29.
"I expect to see you all there, I want to see lots of Aussie flags outside the Abbey," he said to the delight of the crowd.
