Getting knocked up at 17 has become more lucrative for Infamous unwed mom Bristol Palin than working at a Fortune 500 company. The celebuspawn of politico Sarah Palin made a cool $262,000 in 2009 for her work as a public speaker helping to raise awareness about teen pregnancy.
The 20-year-old — who has no career training past a high school diploma — earned the sum as the appointed teen ambassador for the New York-based The Candie’s Foundation, according to tax documents posted online by research firm GuideStar..com Palin was 18 when she took on the role as ambassador, months after giving birth to her son, Tripp, now 2.
Palin already earned as much as $200K for her appearance on Season 11 of Dancing With The Stars in 2010. Last month, HarperCollins — the same New York publishing house that helped make Bristol’s mom a bestselling deal — confirmed that they’d forked over an unspecified sum to the young mom for the rights to a memoir that is expected to be released later this year.
