Looks like the honeymoon’s over for ex-BFFs Lily Allen and Kate Moss. In the biggest frenemy bust-up news since the parting of Paris and Nicole, we hear Kate will be absent when the “Smile” star ties the knot with her builder beau Sam Cooper this June.
With good reason. The waify catwalker wasn’t invited.
Despite inviting 300 people to the reception for her upcoming wedding, Lily deliberately left Kate off the list. The missing invite appears the final nail in the coffin of the charttopper’s friendship with Moss, with whom she famously partied in St Tropez a few years ago. Lily apparently grew apart from Kate after toning down her party-girl lifestyle. In her TV documentary series From Riches To Rags, Lily said: “I still have [Kate's] number. I just don’t call it very often.”
Moss is also set to wed this summer. The fashionista is engaged to The Kills rocker Jamie Hince, and the girls have reportedly began a Cold War over everything from invitations to bachelorette parties.
“Lily and Kate are more like ‘frenemies’ these days,” a friend of the quietly feuding pair told the UK’s Daily Mirror on Sunday. “Lily was upset when she heard that Kate was throwing her own hen night on the same weekend as hers. Lily then brought hers forward to May, but the whole thing has left a bitter taste.”
Apparently Lily told Kate the date of the wedding – but it was more of a warning than an invitation.
“Kate hasn’t received a proper invitation to the wedding and she won’t be sending Lily one to hers in July, either,” the source adds. “It’s awkward as they have mutual friends who may feel divided.”
