Listen up, Music Stans: Word on the Curb has it that outre hip-hopster Nicki Minaj is hashing out the details of a deal that may see the femcee joining Britney Spears’ Femme Fatale Summer Tour (possibly featuring Pauly D) as an opening act!

The tour, which opens in San Diego this June, is expected to crisscross North American through September. Things got off to a rocky start after Spanish star Enrique Iglesias abruptly pulled out of the tour on the heels of reports that he was uncomfortable opening for another artist. Iglesias, of course, denies those rumors.
This isn’t the first time Minaj has been billed for marque credit on a hotly-awaited tour. The “Roman’s Revenge” hitmaker is currently hitting the road with her Young Money leader Lil Wayne. Before that, though, she missed the opportunity to tour with pop stars Rihanna and Ke$ha by a hair, pulling out of the Summer 2010 Last Girl in This World Tour to devote herself to putting the finishing touches on her debut disc, Pink Friday.
The effort — featuring hits like “Your Love” and “Right Thru Me” — was released in November and has since been certified platinum.
