With her last foray into the World of Reality TV now collecting dust on a cutting room floor, former Hiller Lauren Conrad is poised for a return to the fiction aisle of your local Barnes & Nobles.
HarperCollins Children’s Books has acquired the world rights to The Fame Game, a new series of novels penned by the socialite stylista. Best known for starring in the MTV series Laguna Beach and later The Hills, Conrad has authored several bestsellers, including the L.A. Candy series and Lauren Conrad Style, a fashion guide released in 2010.
“Madison Parker made a name for herself as best frenemy of girl-next-door-turned-reality-celeb Jane Roberts in the ‘L.A. Candy’ books,” HarperCollins said in a news release Wednesday. “Now she’s ready for her turn in the spotlight and she’ll stop at nothing to get it. But with backstabbing friends and family, relentless paparazzi, and tabloid scandals she can’t control, Madison is going to have her work cut out for her.”
The first novel in the three-book series will arrive wherever books are sold in Fall 2012.
