Thank You stars Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty plugged their upcoming film by launching a bus for lovers at Bandra Bandstand in Mumbai, plumb opposite Shah Rukh Khan's villa Mannat, on Thursday, March 31.
Akshay and Suniel rode the "Thank You Pyaar Do Pyaar Lo" bus together and didn't have to crack a joke to remind us they are Bollywood's best comic pair, having delivered the inimitable laugh riot Hera Pheri (2000); arguably, nothing funnier has come out of Bollywood. The bus - decorated with white lace curtains, red hearts and bows – will give couples free rides. Akshay and Suniel were greeted at the beach side by a huge gathering of fans. The two stars cheerily waved to the crowd as they rode the bus seated together. Hearing the commotion outside Mannat, Shah Rukh Khan, his wife Gauri, and some household staff gathered on a patio in what became a bonus appearance and waved at the ecstatic fans and media men outside. The bus will run in limited areas of the city - Marine Drive, Carter Road, Bandra Bandstand and Juhu Beach. It is almost like a mobile restaurant with cubicles built in to provide couples with privacy. There is food and beverages available on order.
