Lindsay Lohan Wanted For Role Of Sharon Tate In Manson Biopic “Eyes Of A Dreamer”

Lindsay Lohan’s got a track record if onset trouble that would make Courtney Love look like a contender for Miss Congeniality — nonetheless the out-of-work actress has been offered the role of Sharon Tate, in an upcoming film about cult leader Charlies Manson and the notorious Manson Family Murders TMZ scooped on Sunday.

The movie, titled Eyes of a Dreamer is being directed by celebrity photographer Tyler Shields, who will also play Manson. Manson Girls’ Brad Wyman will produce. As true crime fans may know, Wyman was previously attached to Charlize Theron’s Oscar vehicle Monster, the true crime story of female serial killer Aileen Wuornos. Shields has been close to LiLo ever since he snapped scandalous images of the starlet for her casting as pornstar Linda Lovelace. That role was later receded.

Lohan — who hasn’t appeared on the silver screen since stinking up theaters in the 2007 flop I Know What Killed Me — is on board to play the actress wife of controversial lensman Roman Polanski. Tate was eight months pregnant with a son when she was murdered by Manson followers in 1969. This isn’t the first time Lindsay’s been linked to a film about the serial killer once condemned to California’s death row. In 2008, she was cast as Nancy Pitman, a privileged Malibu surfer girl who moved in with Manson when she was just 16, in a Ripped-From-the-Headlines drama tentatively called Manson Girls. Pittman was at home with Manson the night in 1969 when he sent members of his “family” on the killing spree which left actress Tate and six others slaughtered in a bloodbath. After Manson and several of his followers were jailed for life, Pitman, who was also known as Brenda McCann, became involved with the White supremacist group The Aryan Brotherhood and served 18 months for being accessory after the fact to a murder unrelated to The Manson Family.
