Kristen Stewart has been offered the title role in Universal's 'Snow White and the Huntsman' from amidst competing stars like Riley Keough, Felicity Jones and Alicia Vikander.
According to The Hollywood Reporter (THR), the deal is not sealed but Universal made a firm offer over the weekend after several rounds of screen tests of competing stars.
Universal's take on the fairy tale classic additionally headlines Viggo Mortensen as the Huntsman and Charlize Theron as the evil queen.
Rupert Sanders will make his debut as director for the film, which will feature more action than the classic and focus on the relationship between White and the Huntsman.
After White is banished from the kingdom by the evil queen, the Huntsman take her under his wing and protects her. She becomes his protege and learns how to fight and defend herself.
