Move over, Khloe and Lamar! There’s another set of equally-overexposed lovers vying to snatch Nick and Jessica’s crown as the most beloved Newlyweds to ever grace the small screen.
The Gossip Wire is abuzz with dish that Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes — the former adulterers who turned the set of a Lifetime movie into a real-life reenactment of a scene from The Young & The Restless — are finalizing a deal to bring their wedding process to the small screen in the form of a reality docu-series.
“The deal is nearly done,” says an insider.
News of the possible new series comes as LeAnn battles rumors that she’s been behaving like a primadonna as she puts the finishing touches on the upcoming nups. The couple are due to make things official in a ceremony in Montana this spring, according to reports, and the “I Need You (Screw Your Wife!)” singer is leaving no stone unturned when it comes to making sure that her second wedding is the social event of the year.
“LeAnn thinks only about the wedding — and talks about it all the time. Everything she’s planning is way over the top — even the security arrangements. What LeAnn doesn’t realize is that not that many people care,” one tattling tipster dished to In Touch Weekly last month.
“LeAnn selected three different gowns: one to walk down the aisle, one for dinner, and another to dance in,” another friend of the soon-to-be newlyweds divulges. “Eddie does whatever LeAnn says. She’s planning it, not him.”
