Former American Idol Carrie Underwood hit the stage for a duet of “Undo It” with newly-minted American Idol judge Steven Taylor at Sunday night’s 46th annual Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas.
The two made musical harmony as the Aerosmith bassist bounced around the stage. Just last week, the “Before He Cheats” star — who won gold on the fourth season of the TV talent show — has confessed that she is “loving” the new judges’ lineup on Idol. Carrie told MTV News that she is surprised at how well Tyler and fellow new judge Jennifer Lopez have kept ratings afloat despite the departures of former judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Ellen DeGeneres, and Kara DioGuardi over the past two years.
“I am loving the judges. I know Simon was always such a huge part of the show, but if I had just started watching now, I wouldn’t miss it, you know what I mean?” she said. “I think Steven and J.Lo are doing such an amazing job. I actually got the chance to talk to Steven Tyler, and I was like, ‘I’m finding out that I like you more than I thought I did’.”
