Single Eva Longoria Becomes TV Producing Powerhouse

This is one jilted bride who isn’t letting a wayward husband or sexting scandal turn her into a “Desperate Housewife.” Actress Eva Longoria and her production company, UnbeliEVAble Entertainment, are currently working on three new TV shows — two series pilots and a miniseries — in the wake of her recent split from NBA hoopster Tony Parker.

Longoria has teamed up with actress Kathryn Morris to work on the ABC project Sendera, a “modern-day Shakespearean drama” about two wealthy families from Mexico and Texas who are involved in a battle for power, Variety said Monday. The petite producing powerhouse is even working on a comedy for The Alphabet Network, this one titled Parenting By Committee. The pilot, written by First Day’s Alyssa Embree and Jessica Koosed, focuses on four friends who decide to raise a baby together after one pal becomes pregnant.

Additionally, the soon-to-be two-time divorcee is also developing an eight-hour Starz miniseries, Aztecs, based on the life of Spanish conquerer Hernan Cortes.
