Angelina Jolie Comic Book Joins Bluewater Graphic Biography Stampede
The biography of a modern-day sex symbol will come to life in technicolor when Angelina Jolie’s life story is reformatted in the form of a comic book.
Independent comic company Bluewater Productions has tapped the “movie star, defender of human rights, tireless mother and tabloid fodder” as the latest addition to its animated biography series, Female Force. We’ve got five bucks that says the publishers will leisurely gloss over Angie’s eyebrow-raising liplocks with her brother, anything that involves wearing a vial of blood as an accessory, and all episodes of illicit humping with one very handsome, albeit not-quite divorced, co-star.
In other words, all the good stuff.
Female Force: Angelina Jolie — a 32-page tome penned by Brangelina enthusiast Brent Sprecher — arrives on the shelves of comic book stores and online retailers in January, for the modest price of $3.99, of course. Nuno Nobre provided the illustrations.
“I learned a great deal about her struggles and triumphs as an award-winning actress, mother and humanitarian. Often painted as an edgy, slightly dangerous movie star, what is often not revealed about Ms. Jolie is her tireless commitment to charity work and her dedication to the plight of refugees around the world as a Goodwill Ambassador with the United Nations,” an ecstatic Sprecher remarked of the work in a statement this week.
Angelina joins Twilight author Stephenie Meyer, daytime hostesses Ellen DeGeneres and Oprah Winfrey, and First Lady Michellle Obama as an entertainment trendsetter also featured in Bluewater’s Female First collection.
