Prince William and Kate Middleton will wed on St Catherine's Day, Friday, April 29, 2011 in Westminster Abbey.
The date was announced by Clarence House on Tuesday, November 23.
According to the Daily Mail, the wedding is expected to be attended by many heads of states, including President Obama.
Britain will celebrate the occasion with a four day weekend, with Monday, May 1, being Labor Day, a holiday.
The Royal Family and the Middletons will collectively foot the wedding expenses that are expected to run into millions, with the tax payer picking up the tab only for the the security arrangements.
