Harry Potter beauty Emma Watson has beaten Cheryl Cole as the top role model for teenage girls. Watson, 20, is best known for playing the role of witch Hermione Granger in the hit movie series and almost four out of five people surveyed by British supermarket Asda chose Watson’s movie character as their top role model. The actress beat off competition from X Factor judge Cheryl Cole and US singer Katy Perry. Eighty-seven per cent of the 18,000 young people that were asked said they would rather be known for their intelligence than what they looked like. Asda also said that a blazer similar to what Hermione wears in the movie series has been ‘flying off the shelves’. A spokesman for Asda said: “Our customers love Hermione’s style. We have had to order in more blazers.”
