It’s at this point in the list that we’ve begun to realize that there’s a discernible difference between these Indian actresses and our own homegrown movie talent: the Indian gals seem to have brains. In the case of Preity Zinta, she has an English degree and a postgraduate degree in criminal psychology. Following commercial failures over the last five years, the dangerously hot actress has turned to more ‘artistic’ ventures, garnering rave reviews for the depth of her performances in such movies as Samir Karnik’s Heroes.
