Wedding bells are ringing for Thor actor Chris Hemsworth.
The chiseled Australian-born leading man wed Snakes on a Plane actress Elsa Pataky — a Spanish-born star, 34 — over the holiday weekend, PEOPLE has learned.
The newlywed, who has been seeing Elsa for more than a year, was previously romantically-linked to screen stunner Isabel Lucas.
Hemsworth, 27, will next portray the Marvel Comics character in the ensemble blockbuster The Avengers, opening in 2012.
