Preeti Desai a British Indian and from Guisborough, North Yorkshire but now living in London She is Miss Great Britain, and was crowned after the public voted for her to replace the previous Miss GB after she was stripped of her title.
She was born in middlesbrough on 29 september 1981 to two proud parents; Mum Hema and Dad Jitu, she has a younger sister Anjlee 21 who is a singer/Dancer. She went to St Augustins RC primary school in Coulby newham, then Nunthorpe School and then on to Middlesbrough collage where she did a course in Hair and Beauty. When she was finished there, she was offered work to build up a new salon, then went on to manage it in a department store in Middlesbrough
After leaving school she did a three year course in Hair and Beauty at Middlesbrough College. After graduation she worked in a salon for a number of years. She has a younger sister Anjlee. Following the dethronement of Danielle Lloyd, Desai was elected Miss Great Britain in a poll of readers of the Sun newspaper.
Preeti Desai was Miss Great Britain 2006, lives in London she was crowned Miss Great Britain, she made news as she is the first ever Indian to won the title.She has also posed for kingfisher calender 2008 and Maxim.
