Emma Watson chooses career over studies

‘Harry Potter’ star Emma Watson is postponing her studies at the university in order to concentrate on her acting career. The 20-year-old actress is taking time out from her education at the prestigious Brown University in the US to concentrate on her commitments to the wizard movie franchise, reported Contactmusic. In a message to fans, the literature student wrote on her website, “As you know, I love Brown and I love studying pretty much more than anything but recently I’ve had so much to juggle that being a student AND fulfilling my other commitments has become a little impossible.”I’ve decided to take a bit of time off to completely finish my work on Harry Potter (the last one comes out this summer) and to focus on my other professional and acting projects. I will still be working towards my degree… it’s just going to take me a semester or two longer than I thought.”Although shooting on the ‘Harry Potter’ series – in which Watson plays one of the central characters, Hermione Granger – is over, the last movie, ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2′, is yet to be released and the actress will be expected to work promoting it over the summer.Watson also appears in the film ‘My Summer With Marilyn’ which is released later this year, and has signed up for another movie, ‘Perks of Being a Wallflower’.
