Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver continue to stay in touch with each other and are taking their separation one day at a time.
The former California governor was at the Skirball Cultural Center for the 63rd Israeli Independence Day celebration on Tuesday, May 10 where he spoke about his marital travail for the first time.
He thanked well wishers for the "tremendous amount of support" that they had given and revealed that he spoke to Maria just before coming to the event.
Asked if there was any hope of reconciliation, the 63-year-old actor on a comeback trail told ET, "We both love each other very much."
