Fergie Glamour Magazine Woman of the Year 2010

Fergie has been named a Woman of the Year by Glamour Magazine, landing three different covers for the 20th anniversary of the mag’s Women of the Year Awards.

When it comes to Renaissance Women in Fergie’s life, the bar gets no higher than her mom, Terri Jackson.

“During Christmas time we would make these boxes of toys and food and go bring them to families from the church that couldn’t really afford these things,” she explained. “She’s taught me the gift of giving and I’ve looked up to my mom for that, she really taught me that to treat everyone as equals.”

In addition to Fergie, other Glamour Magazine Women of the Year honorees include Julia Roberts, Cher, Donatella Versace, Diane von Furstenberg, Mia Hamm, and Lindsey Vonn.

The publication of Glamour’s list coincides with the publication of Billboard’s Women in Music Power Players list — which also has the “Glamorous” star tapped as a top contender. Fergie will receive the Woman of the Year award at Billboard’s Women in Music event in New York on Dec. 2, just two days before the release of the latest B.E.P. LP — The Beginning.
