Kareena Kapoor in Sudhir Mishra's Political Drama

Talent power house Kareena Kapoor will feature in Sudhir Mishra's upcoming political drama Bhrub, to be produced by Farhan Akhtar's Excell Entertainment.

The director/actor team earlier worked together in the critically acclaimed 2003 film Chameli.

"Yes, we have approached Kareena Kapoor for my forthcoming film to be produced by Farhan called Bhrub. The Devdas remake I was planning didn't work out as the script I wrote became something else. That script went on to become Bhrub," Mishra told Mumbai Mirror.

Giving additional details about the film, Mishra said, "Bhrub happens to be the name of the central character around which the film will revolve. It's about a man who's an heir to a political family. Kareena will play the female protagonist. She has an equally important role to play. As far the male lead is concerned, we have few names in mind but that will happen once Farhan gets free post the shooting of his Don 2. We will sit together and brainstorm."

Mishra believes Kareena has not been given a role befitting her talent since Chameli and plans to make amends with his new film.

Kareena recently signed on for another Farhan Akhtar film to be directed by Reema Kagti, with co-stars Aamir Khan - who is also the film's co-producer - and Rani Mukerji.

Kareena's other upcoming project is Karan Johar produced, Las Vegas based romcom Short Term Shaadi, with co-star Imran Khan.
