James Franco Kate Hudson Linda Lovelace Biopic

James Franco and pregnant starlet Kate Hudson are in talks to appear in a biopic about troubled porn icon Linda Lovelace.

Franco — who earlier today was announced as a contender for the Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal of climber Aron Ralston in the adventure drama 127 Hours — has been offered the role of Chuck Traynor, the abusive pornographer who married Linda, best known for her work in the 1972 adult film classic Deep Throat. Kate is up for the lead, Deadline Hollywood dished this week. The screenplay is an adaptation of The Complete Linda Lovelace, a tell-all book by W. Merritt Johnson. Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman, who worked with James on the 2010 drama Howl, are almost on board to host.

Franco’s certainly no stranger to shaking his wang for the camera. The studious star recently revealed that he starred in his own sex tape as a teenager: “I remember when I was 19 doing that, and then watching it back and thinking, ‘Oh, that looks horrible.’ You have a lot of respect for those actors in pornography, because they are really not just doing it, they’re really selling it.”

The film is a different production from Inferno – which is also about Linda’s life and at one point had troubled actress Lindsay Lohan attached to star.
