Kate Hudson seems to be trying to keep her news of her currently-occupied uterus under her hat…Too bad no one shot that memo over to her loose-lipped mother, veteran actress Goldie Hawn.
The grandmother-to-be has confirmed speculation that Hudson is expecting a baby with her British rocker boyfriend Matt Bellamy, revealing the family is “very happy” about the pregnancy news. The pair has refused to comment on the rumors, but an overjoyed Hawn confirmed that the news is true – and it sounds like she can’t wait to become a Memaw again: Vodka shots for everyone!
“I’m excited! It’s exciting. You know, we’re just all very happy… happy for them both. What’s more to say?” Hawn told Us Magazine on Sunday.
Kate, 31, is reportedly four months pregnant with her second child (her first with Matt). The actress has a seven-year-old son, Ryder, from her marriage to Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson.
Kate — whose romantic conquests include Owen Wilson and Alex Rodriguez — has been dating Muse singer Matt, 32, for nine months.
“They couldn’t be more excited,” a friend of Hudso’s told PEOPLE Magazine. “Kate is really happy. She was always excited to have kids again at some point.”
An Us Weekly snoop chimed in with: “It was not planned, but they are excited and embracing it. She is happy for Ryder to finally have a brother or sister.”
