Miss India 2011 Calendar Launch in GOA
The calendar was unveiled by Marc Robinson, Creative Director of the Femina Miss India 2011 Calendar and also Contestant and Fashion Director, Pantaloons Femina Miss India.
The Femina Miss India 2011 Calendar has been launched in association with Tito’s. Speaking on the association of Tito’s with the Femina Miss India 2011 Calendar, owners Ricardo and David De’ Souza said, “We are happy to be associated with the Femina Miss India Calendar 2011. The brand fit is absolutely right and the calendar reflects an unparalleled spirit of freshness. Tito’s completes 40 years in April 2011, and the calendar launch promises to be the first in a series of events planned to commemorate our 40th anniversary celebrations.”
Speaking on the occasion Marc Robinson, Creative Director Femina Miss India 2011 Calendar and Contestant and Fashion Director, PFMI said “Celebrating the launch in Goa at Tito’s we couldn’t have done it at a better place as both Ricky and David De’ Souza, owners of Tito’s have been avid supporters of the pageant in recent years, apart from being long time family friends. In addition he went on to say that Femina Miss India provides aspiring young girls with opportunities like no other.”
Jitu Savlani, Photographer of the Femina Miss India 2011 Calendar added, “It was a fabulous shoot- we shot the calendar at some exotic locales at Fiji and the tourism authority there extended complete cooperation and hospitality. I have shot Manasvi, Nicole and Neha during their Miss India pageant days and therefore shared a great rapport with them which made our job easier and fun. I have been associated with Femina Miss India for sometime now and I thank the Times Group for all their support always.”
Gaviin Miguel, who has styled the models in the calendar, mentioned, “My association with this calendar featuring the Miss India’s was awesome!! Fiji was a great location to shoot at. When you see this calendar you just know that each picture is true to itself and how each of these girls have been captured in such brilliance. The styling has been kept chic, minimal with great visual appeal.’
The Miss India winners, PFMI World 2010 Manasvi Mamgai, Miss Earth 2010 and PFMI Earth 2010 Nicole Faria and PFMI International 2010 Neha Hinge echoed similar sentiments and said that the Femina Miss India Calendar is a great way of honouring and positioning the PFMI winners. The girls loved the experience of shooting at Fiji and thanked Jitu for the fabulous shots.
The launch of the calendar in association with Titos at the Tito’s Courtyard drew in a number of Goa’s known faces including musician Remo Fernandes and Calangute MLA Agnelo Fernandes. Adding to the night, The Turbans performed their eclectic music set while rope acrobats and fire dancers added to the entertainment.
Femina Miss India, India’s oldest and most sought after beauty pageants has evolved constantly with new initiatives being added each year to make it a more engaging and innovative platform for beauty, glamour and style. The calendar is an epitome of beauty, fashion and style and an aspiration for future generations of Miss Indias.
