Stefani went for a white Armani gown with bow detailing and cutout design, accentuated by a diagonal black strap which grazed her neck and went down the middle in a vertical line. Teamed with a pair of peeptoe red-and-black heels and red clutch bag, the outfit went for high drama. Between the cutout design and her open shoes, Stefani showed plenty of skin without looking OTT. Clever choice.
Her hair was worn in an updo, going with the gown's formal look and drawing attention to thickly penciled brows, eyelids colored in smoky shades, and cherry red lips.
Preferring to let the dress and hair take command, the singer donned just a small pair of studs.
The Gwenster's look seemed to imitate the ongoing trend in Cannes of showing a lot of skin and a heavy dose of color. But if it works, it works.
Just a night previously, the 41-year-old blonde graced the AmfAR event, and escorted by hubby Gavin Rossdale was at Brad Pitt's Tree of Life film premiere.
