The Scream actress has parted ways with champion heavyweight boxer Wladimir Klitschko after 18-months. Don’t be alarmed, we hear there’s been no clandestine nookie-getting going on on the side. In a joint statement issued to the press on Thursday, the former couple blamed long-distance for their sudden bust-up. Hayden, 21, lives in the US, while the 35-year-old Ukrainian resides in Hamburg, Germany.
“While we decided to split, we feel great sympathy and respect for each other and will surely stay close friends,” Hayden tells the press.
“We had a great time together. But more and more we realized how difficult it is to maintain a relationship when living on two continents. I cherish Hayden as a person and woman. I’m sure we will stay friends,” Wladimir adds.
Of course, Wladimir won’t have much time for sulking in his room. The fighter is currently in training for a heavyweight title unification bout with British fighter David Haye.
