Another summer of music and melody is headed for Manhattan’s Central Park, and Lady Gaga is leading the charge. Good Morning America revealed the lineup for its annual Summer Concert Series on Wednesday. This year’s series kicks off May 27, with a live outdoor set featuring the “Born This Way” hitmaker.
The 2011 series, sponsored by Burger King, promises to offer a little something for the eclectic music lover in everyone. This year’s lineup will include performances by Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, Selena Gomez, Nicki Minaj, Taio Cruz, Florence and The Machine, The Goo Goo Dolls, and the American Idol Top 11. Also dropping into The Big Apple, country superstars Brad Paisley and Miranda Lambert. And no summer show is complete without a little ’80s nostalgia. Thankfully, we’ll have The Go-Go’s to fill that bill. The New Wave icons will make their final television on GMA this August. Oh — and don’t forget to be on the lookout for Debbie Gibson and Tiffany. The teen idols once rumored to be bitter rivals are hitting the road on tour this summer and GMA is tops on their list of places to see. The performance will mark the first time the girls have ever performed on the same stage together.
