If you thought Bristol Palin looked a wee bit different when she showed up at The Candies Foundation Benefit in Los Angeles last week, you don’t need new lenses. Bristol just needed a new jaw. The 20-year-old daughter of political maverick Sarah Palin has revealed that she underwent corrective surgery to her jaw, but denies that the procedure was elective plastic surgery.
Amid rumors that she had undergone extensive cosmetic tweaking to her face, the mother-of-one tells Us Weekly that she underwent corrective jaw surgery last December, a month after she placed third on the 11th season of ABC’s Dancing With The Stars. Palin said she had the procedure so her jaw and teeth could properly realign. Growing up, Bristol wore braces and a retainer to help correct an overbite. But she said her dentist warned her that one day she’d have to have surgery one day. She did and her face now appears thinner, her cheekbones higher, and her jaw more angular.
“Yes, it improved the way I look, but this surgery was necessary for medical reasons,” she tells the glossy for its May 23 issue, on newsstands Friday.
Glad to hear B’s putting some of the quarter million dollars she pocketed for her work as a “motivitional speaker” to good use.
Bristol’s been tipped to join acting brothers Chris and Kyle Massey as one of the stars of a new BIO Network reality soap premiering later this year.
