Demi Lovato's Family, Disney Ask Her Father to Stop Talking

Demi Lovato's family and employer Disney are upset over her father Patrick Lovato's remarks to the press about the pressures on Demi from her showbiz career.

In an interview with Radar Online, Patrick was asked if he felt the pressure of Hollywood had affected her.

"Yes," he responded.

"There are a lot of pressures. That is one of the things I worried about when she signed with Disney.

"It's just going to happen," he added.

A source tells Page Six that Demi's family is outraged over Patrick's remarks and contend that Patrick "knows nothing about" her.

Patrick separated from Demi's mother, Dianna, in 1994 and last met Demo nearly three years ago.

A source tells Page Six that Patrick "hasn't played a role in Demi's life for years."

Patrick has reportedly been warned by Disney's lawyers and Dianna, a former dancer and cheerleader, to stop talking.

Demi's attorney, Jamie Young, told Page Six, "No one speaks for Demi except for her designated representatives. Unfortunately, several people have taken it upon themselves to speak out -- both on and off the record -- about a situation they know nothing about."

Patrick a former musician and an engineer, who was diagnosed with cancer a couple of months ago, says he has been misquoted.

"I never said that… Disney has been wonderful to my daughter. Now their lawyers are warning me not to say anything else.

"I would never blame Dianna. She is a wonderful mother. I love Demi, her sister, Dallas, and Dianna. I think about them all the time and I pray they are OK and safe."
