Eddie Cibrian, 37, and LeAnn Rimes, 28, are engaged.
A source tells E! Online that Eddie popped the question and LeAnn consented.
Eddie and LeAnn first met on the set of Northern Lights when they were both married - she to dancer Dean Sheremet and he to model Brandi Glanville.
Their marriages crumbled after Us Magazine published photos of them enjoying a cozy meal together in a restaurant.
The photos showed them kissing and holding hands during the three-hour tryst - mirroring their on-screen romance. Video footage also appeared to show the two smooching outside the restaurant.
After initially denying the affair, each left their spouses to be together.
Rimes finalized her divorce with Sheremet in December.
Cibrian and Glanville's divorce was finalized on September 30, 2010.
Eddie and Rimes have since moved into a home in Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley.
The CSI: Miami star and his former wife Brandi have two children.
Perhaps in a linked development, Eddie's former wife Brandi Glanville has asked for a meeting with LeAnn next week, she tells E! Online.
In a recent interview with ABC News, LeAnn explained her earlier infidelity over which she has been taunted during her performances.
"You had two couples whose marriages didn't work who really stumbled upon each other and fell in love.
"Nothing I'm going to say is going to change it," she says. "I do know that, and I have accepted that…but I do know how much I love him. So I've always said I don't live my life with regret. I can't."
