Weight Loss On Cover Of Shape Magazine

Growing up in the spotlight was hard on Kelly Osbourne, who recalls how being called fat in the press as a kid destroyed her self-esteem. “It sets you up to hate yourself in a huge way,” says the newly slim 26-year-old, who appears on the cover of the December issue of Shape Magazine, on sale Nov. 22.

The rock princess once dubbed “cherubic and chubby,” dons a two-piece swimsuit for the first time ever in celebration of a whopping 50 lbs. weight loss over the past year — and she did it the old-fashioned way: diet and exercise.

Kelly, who stands 5’2,” now weighs in at a svelte 112 lbs. Clad in a smokin-hot red bikini, Kelly tells Shape her weight woes were only solved after she stopped trying to find “a quick fix” for her weight.

“I never thought in a million years I’d be that healthy girl who wakes up every morning to exercise.”

The singer-turned-reality TV star, 26, admits her mom Sharon’s battle with colon cancer in 2002 has scared her for life. She insists on regular check-ups.

“I’m absolutely convinced I’m gonna get cancer. Once a week I go to the doctor and get a B12 shot; B12 is really good at building your immune system and keeping you healthy and every time I think I’ve got a lump somewhere, I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I gotta go to the doctor.’ Most of the time he sits me down and is like, ‘Kelly, get out of my office
!’”
