Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt donate $2 million to wildlife

The Naankuse Wildlife Sanctuary in Namibia had very special guests during Christmas.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt spent their Christmas holidays at the wildlife sanctuary and when they were ready to leave, they donated the sanctuary with money. The couple donated a whopping $2 million to the sanctuary.

Jolie explained why Namibia holds a special place in her life. In 2006, she gave birth to her daughter, Shiloh in the country. She said that since then, the family wants Shiloh to know and understand the country where she was born in.

Jolie said that, “We want her to grow up with an understanding of her country of birth.”

The timing of the visit was just perfect because they managed to witness a young leopard reintroduced into the wild.

Naankuse Wildlife Sanctuary helps rehabilitate and shelter animals that are either injured, orphaned or cannot just survive again in the wild on their own. The sanctuary is also so much into the hospitality industry. There are luxurious accommodations available for tourists that want to spend some time there.

Locals later told reporters that the couple seemed to have enjoyed their stay in the country.
