So that’s why she’s leaving! Fitness guru Jillian Michaels, who will be exiting her post on NBC’s The Biggest Loser at the conclusion of the show’s final season, has accepted a gig as co-host of the daytime drama The Doctors, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Michaels will join the daytime series under a multi-year deal that will also see her becoming a special correspondent on lifestyle issues on The Dr. Phil Show. Dr. Phil happens to be one of the creators of The Doctors.
“Jillian Michaels is the perfect addition to ‘The Doctors’ team,” the balding headshrinker himself said of the move Friday. “She not only embraces our mission to supply viewers with critical information to make informed and intelligent health care decisions, but more importantly, she leads by example.”
