On the eve of her 37th birthday, Aishwarya Rai looked beautiful in a blue draped Elie Saab gown at Hello! Hall of Fame 2010 Awards in Mumbai on Sunday, October 31.
Aishwarya's floor length crepe georgette gown from the designer's Spring 2010 collection had slightly padded cap sleeves, plunging neckline, and a full skirt with pleating detail on the side. The former Miss World (1994) had styled her hair straight, a refreshing break from the loose waves she has been sporting lately. Bronze eye shadow and pink shimmering lipstick rounded her looks. Aishwarya's Elie association has deep roots. Earlier in summer, she had rocked a black, beaded shoulder, chiffon gown from Elie Saab Spring 2010 collection at the 2010 Longines Charity Dinner, and a stunning blue Elie Saab Spring 2010 Couture gown at Cannes. The Bachchan family was elated over winning three awards. "Just back from HELLO Hall of Fame Awards .. three of family win .. Aishwarya, Moi for Timeless Icon and ... Shweta for style icon" Amitabh Bachchan tweeted after the awards. This was Bachchan daughter, Shweta Nanda's first such award and she was overwhelmed with excitement. "Am elated! Being able to share stage space with my father is huge and momentous!" Shweta tweeted. Shweta's favorite designer duo Abu Sandeep presented her the award. After the awards event, the Bachchan family ushered in Aishwarya's 38th year by cutting a birthday cake at the Taj. Aishwarya has lately been MIA at Action Replayy promotions. Neha Dhupia and Akshay Kumar have been plugging the upcoming film on various TV channels and public events lately. The duo was also seen on the set of KBC, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan.
