Taylor Swift delighted in a pale peach J. Mendel short dress at the 2011 People's Choice Awards at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Wednesday night, January 5. The newly single country hottie's dress had nude sleeveless bodice with pleated cross panel detail and pleated full skirt.
The 21-year-old accessorized with matching Prada heels and Neil Lane jewels.
Her hair was styled in a loose curly updo, with tendrils framing her face. She wore signature winged eyeliner and scarlet lipstick. Swift posed on the blue carpet with Zac Efron. Swift, who was up for two awards at the event - Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Country Artist; she won Favorite Country Artist, competing in the category against formidable artistes like Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum and Rascal Flatts. Elton John presented the award to Swift. Immediately after accepting the award, Swift told Elton Jon, "Congratulations to you, you are Dad now," "I am so honored to get an award from you," she added. This was Swift's first ever People's Choice Awards. She later took to the stage to present Favorite Movie Actor Award to Johnny Depp. On another note, Jake Gyllenhall, from whom Swift split over the Holidays, was an award nominee for Favorite Action Star. The award went to Jackie Chan.
