Aishwarya Rai delighted in an Elie Saab Spring 2011 Couture gown at the opening ceremony of the 64th Cannes Film Festival and the premiere of "Midnight in Paris" at Palais des Festivals on Wednesday, May 11, in Cannes, France. The 37-year-old former Miss World set hearts aflutter as she walked the red carpet, sedately styled and with immense grace. Her mesmerizing eyes and a mysterious smile added to her allure.
Her one shoulder nude embellished gown had a peplum at the waist.
She accessorized with towering golden heels with studded straps, a metallic Jimmy Choo clutch, and Chopard jewels.
Her hair was styled in a French twist with a loosely swept back teased top.
The L'Oreal brand ambassador wore flawless makeup by maestro Karim Rahman.
Aishwarya's eye makeup was the focus of attention and L'Oreal described it as follows.
"The beauty tip of her magnetic eyes - piercing eyes, highlighted with lovely gradation on her eyelids and enhanced with plenty of mascara!" 
Aishwarya rounded her splendid style with nude lipgloss and black nailpolish.
She glided through the flash frenzy emanating from the cameras for the assembled international media present like a pro with a lot of poise.
Aishwarya is accompanied to the festival by her mother Vrinda Rai as her husband Abhishek Bachchan is away in Murmansk, Russia filming for his thriller film Players.
