Johnny Depp: “Angie is incredibly normal”

The Pirates of Caribbean star tells in the latest issue of Vanity Fair that he was surprised by Angie’s down-to-earth attitude. The actors met on the set of their upcoming movie The Tourist. “Meeting her and getting to know her was a real pleasant surprise,” he says. “You don’t know what she might be like – if she has any sense of humor at all. I was so pleased to find that she is incredibly normal,” the 47-year-old actor added, “and has a wonderfully kind of dark, perverse sense of humor.” I guess I always knew Angie has that special sense of communication. He’s even compared Jolie to legendary actress Elizabeth Taylor. “I’ve had the honor and the pleasure and gift of having known Elizabeth Taylor for a number of years,” Depp says. “You know, you sit down with her, she slings hash, she sits there and cusses like a sailor, and she’s hilarious. Angie’s got the same kind of thing, you know, the same approach.”Don’t know exactly how to take this comment considering the fact Johnny ia probably as normal as Angie. For them, travelling in private jets, being horded by snappers and visiting the most exotics places on earth are normal life. But it’s fair to say that she’s a very humanitarian side which makes her adorable. And he’s also moved from the US to avoid the paps, I like them both
