Anne Hathaway Vogue Magazine Nov. 2010

Fall in love with Anne Hathaway all over again as the clean-cut former Disney Kid speaks candidly in her intimate new interview with Vogue Magazine.

The star, who won an Oscar nod for her 2009 drama Rachel Getting Married, says falling for Italian fraudster Raffaello Follieri has left her less trusting when it comes to matters of the heart.

Can you blame her?

Hathaway and Follieri dated for four years before splitting in 2008, when the con man was arrested on fraud charges for posing as a Vatican real estate representative and bilking investors out of millions of dollars in a church property scheme. Follieri pleaded guilty and is serving a five-year prison term. The Feds even confiscated the jewels Follieri bought Anne with the stolen dough.

“It takes a minute for me to let my guard down, but once I do and I get to know someone, I’m very open, very trusting. Some might say too trusting,” Hathaway says in the Nov. issue of Vogue.

Anne is now dating Adam Shulman, an aspiring actor she met through mutual friends.

“We hit it off immediately, but it took us a pretty long time to get together,” Hathaway explains. “He thought that I had a boyfriend, and I thought that he had a girlfriend, so I thought that I’d better keep my distance because I didn’t want to be that girl…Things sped up a bit—and I think I’ll leave it at that.”
