Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif continue to be good friends despite the uncertainty and speculation about their relationship.
Katrina Kaif tells the TOI, that she and Salman exchange notes every day, either over phone or texts, often late at night.
"He is my 4 am friend," she quips.
They know what is going on each other's professional life too because they have the same manager.
Like good friends, they are supportive of each other.
"When I was hospitalized, Salman was very much around," she explains.
"When he had the Being Human show at fashion week, I flew in for a day from Chandigarh," she points out.
She misses a Salman Khan organized event only when the circumstances are exceptional. Like, she couldn't attend a blood donation drive that he recently organized because she herself had been diagnosed with a blood condition and was advised against donating blood.
Asked if it was true that Salman had recommended her as lead in Dabangg and Bodyguard, roles that eventually went to Sonakshi Sinha and Kareena Kapoor respectively, Katrina skirted the issue.
"Salman and I had a disaster in our last romantic film Yuvraaj. We had mutually decided then that when we do our next film, it has to be something different. Not a routine love story," she said.
"When there is a script that both of us feel suits us the best, we will do the film without an issue," she added.
The rumor is *she* didn't like the role scripted for her in Dabangg and Bodyguard.
