Helena Bonham Carter: Plaid Pretty at The King's Speech Photocall and Premiere

Helena Bonham Carter turned heads in a revealing Vivienne Westwood tartan top and black silk skirt at The King's Speech premiere and after-party during the London Film Festival on October 21.

Helena walked the red carpet with partner Tim Burton.

The 44-year-old Harry Potter star wore a shoulder baring asymmetrical top and black asymmetrical tiered skirt.

Her co-ordinated accessories included - black platform pumps, black glamor girl purse accented with two red hearts, and shoulder sweeping black bead earrings.

Her reddish brown hair was styled in an elaborate bouffant updo with bow accents. Nude matt lipstick, thin extended eyeliner, and scarlet nails rounded her delightfully glamorous looks.

Earlier in the day, at the film's photocall, Helena wore another of Vivienne Westwood gray and red plaid suit, paired with geek black rimmed glasses and lace up boots. Queen Elizabeth, later known as the Queen Mother to avoid confusion with the current Queen Elizabeth, in the film opposite Colin Firth who plays King George VI.

Talking ahead of the press conference, Helena recalled the challenge in playing the Queen in The King's Speech and the witch Bellatrix in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which were shot simultaneously.

"Actually my son, who was six at the time, said 'Mum, do you have to be the witch or the queen tomorrow?' And I said 'That's a good question, as long as I don't get that mixed up,' said Helena.
