Randy Jackson — the youngest son of Joe and Katherine Jackson — has all but confirmed recent whispers that the famous clan will be sitting down for an exclusive interview with The Queen of Talk.
And Randy for one is incensed that his niece and nephews — Prince Michael, 13, Paris, 12, and Blanket, 8 — have been permitted to give a tell-all interview with Oprah, against the wishes of his late brother, Michael, who worked tirelessly to keep the children out of the spotlight.
Winfrey visited the late singer’s mother Katherine on Saturday at her Encino, California property, where she interviewed the family matriarch, her husband Joe, and took a tour of the property. Randy, on the other hand, insists that Oprah is “the last person on earth” his the “Thriller” icon would want speaking to his children.
“Let me say that I love my mother and father. I am humbly grateful to have them as my parents but I don’t always agree with the choices they make. This is one of those times,” Randy wrote in one of a series of updates to his Twitter page on Tuesday.
Randy’s displeasure with O dates back more than five years. He’s never forgiven The Chat Show Queen for broadcasting a show on pedophiles during Michael’s 2005 child sex abuse trial, during which the singer was charged with molesting cancer-stricken teenager Gavin Arvizo.
“I can never forget when she had the show on pedophilia during the jury deliberation process in my brother’s Santa Maria case. That was no coincidence,” Randy fumes.
“I found out Oprah was at our family home, my stomach ached and it still hasn’t gone away. I had no prior knowledge this was going to happen. It was deliberately kept from me because they knew I would have tried to stop it.”
He added: “I know how Oprah feels about my brother and family. I also know that he would not have wanted this… in fact, she is the last person on earth he would want around his children.”
