Halle Berry wanted Olivier Martinez for her new movie before the pair became romantically involved, it is claimed. The actress is said to have asked producers to make sure the French-born actor landed a role in thriller Dark Tide. Berry and Martinez were seen getting cosy on the set of the film in August in South Africa and have since been on a string of dates. An insider said: “Halle sent her people to go after Martinez for the movie. She specifically requested him and told her camp to go get him. [Their relationship] is definitely real, and it’s hot and heavy. But a representative for Oscar-winner Berry told a US newspaper: “Olivier was cast because he was the best actor for the role and both Halle and the director agreed. Any speculation beyond that reason is completely false.”
