Matt Damon announced he is expecting a baby girl as he appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman. The 40-year-old star revealed his wife Luciana is due to give birth next month. “It’s a girl!” Damon said. “It’s actually our fourth girl.” The couple already have two daughters together, Isabella, 4, and Gia, 2. Luciana also has an 11-year-old daughter, Alexis, from a previous marriage. Asked whether he minded being surrounded by girls, the star revealed he enjoyed it. “It’s great, I grew up with a brother so it’s a whole different world,” he said. “There’s a lot of princess outfits, not for me though. There are huge differences among the girls, kids are amazing like that, same parents, same environment but they’re all different. “And with each one it becomes exponentially more complicated.” Damon said the baby could come along any day. “We are due next month but it’s Luci’s fourth time around so it could be any minute.” He added that the couple won’t be rushing into expanding the family after the birth. “God no,” he said. “With four I’m kind of hoping they pair off and leave us alone!” Damon is currently appearing in US cinemas in the Clint Eastwood directed film, Hereafter.
