“The Nanny” is returning to TV! Fran Drescher will be hosting a three-week preview of a new talk show on six FOX affliate stations across North America, New York Magazine reported in a hot scoop of Columbus Day dish.
Is the nasally Queens native the next Queen of Talk?
From survivng breast cancer to marrying a guy who came out as gay…20 years later, Drescher sure has enough gabby fodder for a chat fest goldmine — and bosses at television production company Debmar-Mercury — producers of The Wendy Williams Show – seem agree. They’ve agreed to give Fran’s self-titled talk show a test run when it starts shooting in Los Angeles, airing the program on FOX stations in Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, Minneapolis, Orlando, and Phoenix. Debmar-Mercury tried a similar formula with Williams’ show in the summer of 2008 before picking the program up for a full season run. Depending on how successful Fran is in the ratings, fans could soon start seeing a whole lot more the funny former hairdresser.
Fran premieres in limited release on Nov. 26.
