Yash Raj Films' next project headlining Katrina Kaif, Imran Khan and Ali Zafar has been titled "Mere Brother Ki Dulhan."
Produced by Aditya Chopra, the romcom is written and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.
Filming started in Pataudi last week and will next move to Himachal and Punjab and wrap in November.
"Mere Brother ki Dulhan" is set amongst upper middle class families in North India. Its topsy-turvy plot has the protagonist (Imran) falling in love with the wife (Katrina) of his brother (Ali Zafar). Two stills accompanying YRF's recent press release on the film show Katrina and Imran dressed in trendy casuals, snacking small town style on jalebi and tea served in small glass tumblers! The film is Imran's first with YRF, as well as his first with Katrina. It is Ali Zafar's second Bollywood film after Tere Bin Laden. Imran, who came on board at short notice, told Mumbai Mirror, "I am happy to be a part of the film and to be working with YRF. I love the way Adi functions. I also liked the way Ali has visualized his script." Talking about his filming experience in Saif Ali Khan's home town Pataudi, Zafar told HT: "It was like a vacation. In Delhi, I went to buy a guitar and was mobbed. "I'll be giving playback in the film and singing three songs." The Director, Ali Abbas Zafar, has been with the Yash Raj Banner for many years and has assisted in films such as Badmaash Company, New York, Tashan and Jhoom Barabar Jhoom. The movie is scheduled to release in mid-2011.
