Lindsay Lohan is forking off extra dough for the heightened security measures bosses at the Betty Ford Clinic have been forced to undertake since the fallen A-list checked into the Palm Springs facility for treatment last week.
In addition to the $30,0000 she’s reportedly spending for four-weeks of detox at the facility, La Lohan is also paying for additional security staff needed ”to cope with all the paparazzi lurking around — trying to get one of those ‘money’ shots to sell to the tabloids,” a Lindsay informant tells The Chicago Sun-Times.
The troubled actress admitted herself to the world-famous facility on Sept. 27, much to the chagrin of her father Michael Lohan, who does not believe the centre – who has previously treated stars including David Hasselhoff, Keith Urban, Ozzy Osbourne, Drew Barrymore, Billy Joel, Liza Minnelli, Bobby Brown and Elizabeth Taylor– will be able to help her overcome her three year addiction to cocaine and alcohol.
Last month, Lindsay failed two drugs test earlier this month following a stint in prison and rehab at UCLA Medical Center, where she was sent after violating the terms of her probation for a 2007 driving under the influence (DUI) conviction.
The former child star is due back in court for a probation hearing on Oct. 22.
