Move over, Oprah! The Hardest-Working Man in Hollywood — TV/radio personality Ryan Seacrest — is reportedly snatching a page from the Book of OWN after entering talks to launch his own cable network on music, pop culture, and lifestyle, informants told The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday.
The business project is still in the initial planning stages, but is reportedly negotiating with CAA Talent Agency and AEG Entertainment to use programming from their concerts and live events for the proposed network, The Reporter says.
Seacrest has a storied history in the entertainment industry. At 35, the mini-metrosexual entertainment industry is host of the Los Angeles-based AM radio show “On Air with Ryan Seacrest,” frontman of television’s most-watched talent show American Idol, and executive producer of E!’s Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
He’s also a regular interviewer at red carpet Hollywood events.
