Aishwarya Rai Drop Dead Gorgeous in Paris

Aishwarya Rai looked resplendent in a silver Roberto Cavalli plunging gown at the designer's 40th Anniversary party at Les Beaux-Arts de Paris, France on September 29.

She was accompanied to the event by husband Abhishek Bachchan who looked debonair in a black suit.

Looking at Aishwarya's photo, we blinked several time with incredulity before conceding that it was indeed her, so stark is her transformation because of different hairstyle and makeup.

"Aishwarya Rai is here, she's beautiful!" Roberto Cavalli tweeted.

Aishwarya, 36, wore a super sparkly fish scale gown with train. She accessorized with blue clutch with sparkly band detail, silver heels, and stud earrings.

Her hair was styled in flirty curls with a middle parting. She wore smoky eye makeup and plum glossy lipstick.

Aishwarya stirred pregnancy rumors during her recent visit to Milan - where she hob-nobbed with George Clooney at Georgio Armani Show - and now again in Paris.

It may just be some good living with a husband who is an unabashed foody and lack of exercise. It could also be because a lot of people want to see the most beautiful women in the world turn into the most beautiful mother.

Abhishek's good looks and the sharp intellect of the couple rule out the type of fears that George Bernard Shaw nursed, so it isn't curiosity about what the child would be like.

Veteran designer, Roberto, got the party started to celebrate his 40 years in business with his show at Milan Fashion Week on September 27.

He then invited some of his closest friends and associates to a gala dinner for 800 in Paris; the even is rumored have set him back by $2million. The party coincided with the start of the Paris Fashion Week Ready to Wear S/S 2011.

The list of guests, all wearing the choicest Cavalli creations, was impressive and included Janet Jackson, Taylor Swift, Rachel Bilson, Heidi Klum, Karolina Kurkova, Leona Lewis, Bar Rafaeli, Naomi Campbell, Leigh Lezark and Natalia Vodianova.

To mark the occasion, Roberto has also released a book about his 40 years in the fashion industry.
